"Jack Thriller: Queen Ella [@QueenElla1] Talks Winning the Apollo, Being Bullied , Her “Heart On Lock” single, & More!"

How would you describe your music?

QE: My music is definitely different. It’s happy, I have my sad moments, it’s uplifting and I try to encourage the younger audience especially since there is so much going on right now. My music is just a reflection of me. People always say “you’re beautiful” now, but people never used to always tell me that. I was called ugly, unattractive, or I didn’t have “swag.” I got picked on and bullied coming up. So, I embrace who I was and just began loving myself. I started writing about it and telling stories about relationships and just whatever I went through. I just want to tell my story and hopefully inspire someone else. - Smangiee

"New Music: Achievements - Arinze, Rav P, Black Thought, & Queen Ella"

“With an all-star line up of Arinze, Rav.P, Black Thought and Queen Ella coming together on one record, each artist celebrates their “Achievements” on this latest release. With Rav doubling up as both emcee and producer, “Achievements” is laced with a melodic chorus by Queen Ella and verses from Arinze, Rav.P and Black Thought of The Roots over the triumphant instrumental.” - The Certified Genius

"Buzznet.com: From The Indie Vault Queen Ella"

New York's Queen Ella is a full-time singer/songwriter bound to break some barriers. The singer put aside her career in international business to pursue a music career. Did we mention she's ballsy? Gotta love that. She has been performing since the age of 4 and has been on some pretty prestigious stages, including NY's Apollo Theater and Metropolitan Room, respectively. - Tina

Unemployed since July of 2009, the rebellious red-head Queen Ella decided to put aside her career in International Business to pursue her career in music. She has been performing for small crowds of all ages since the age of 4. The center of her mother’s living room was her stage; performing for friends, family, and stuffed animals is how she discovered her passion as an entertainer.

She has appeared on radio talk shows such as Rutgers University’s WRSU radio and Lehman College’s TV show OPEN on BronxNet Television. Queen Ella has worked with several music producers such as the Heatmakerz and film director Roc Davis of Itchy House Films. Queen Ella is a pop/r&b artist that can deliver anything from Sam Smith to Chaka Khan to Hendrix and everything in between including original material. She has the ability to do it all! In an industry that’s thirsty for true talent, Queen Ella is a nice tall glass of just that. Hope you’re thirsty!
