As of today a FREE DOWNLOAD is available on http://queenrose.net/ of the debut song BUILDING BRIDGES from violinist Queen Rose ft. Mark Shine. The song is co-written and co-produced by Queen Rose & Mark Shine. Executive producers are Marvels “Magic” Marvelous and Queen Rose.

“I knew I wanted to write a song about my vision of Building Bridges with Mark Shine. He is an incredible singer and songwriter. We met through MySpace and started to work together on recordings and in live shows immediately. I shared my vision with him and he came up with this beautiful hook, which was the beginning of this song.”

Queen Rose is manifesting her vision in her not-for-profit organization Building Bridges in the works. Its mission is to create intercultural communication to cause peace, bringing about a shift from negative to empowering messages.

The song brilliantly fuses her formidable classical music background with America’s sizzling Rock, Soul and R&B sounds. Her ingenious pop arrangement is peppered with an accessible lyrical hook that appeals to people all over the world. Building Bridges includes the best musicians on the NYC scene and features Mark Shine’s vocals layered over Queen Rose’s lush string arrangements, bringing to life her music and vision.

As a child in Austria, Europe’s music capital, Queen Rose played any instrument she could get her hands on. Violin became her primary instrument and by age 13 she performed professionally. Her student years are filled with scholarships, awards and achievements that mark her growth, as she became an accomplished Classical & Jazz violinist.
"It was love at first sight” Queen Rose reflects about visiting the Big Apple for the first time. The prestigious Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship “to further international understanding and friendly relations among people of different countries and geographical areas” made it possible for her. She came to study at the renowned New School Jazz Program.

Since bursting onto New York City’s music scene, she has shared the stage with Jazz greats Abbey Lincoln, Billy Hart and Butch Morris, and musical masterminds Carlos Santana, John Legend, Patti Labelle, Gloria Estefan, John Legend and DJ Spooky to name a few. She has performed on stages at the Latin Grammy’s, Conan O’Brian Show, Alice Tully Hall, Cite de la Musique (Paris) among many others. She took her own band 4 times on tour in Austria playing at famous venues like Orpheum Graz, Porgy & Bess and Joe Zawinul’s Birdland, and performed her original music at the legendary Blue Note, NYC, Knitting Factory and the Village Underground among others. She has notched over 50 production, arrangement, composition and performance credits on 18 released albums, videos and film soundtracks by diverse talents such as superstars Trey Songz (MTV Unplugged), Ashanti, Blitz the Ambassador and many others.

In 2011 Queen Rose is going to release her first R&B/Hip Hop album with world music influences featuring some of New York City’s hottest independent & Grammy Award winning singers & rappers - like Honey Larochelle, Blitz the Ambassador, Rob Murat, Keishera, John Sportin, Gordon Chambers, Steve Wallace, Maya Azucena, Chandlar, Marc Villa and Stimulus - to share her many talents as a violinist, singer, songwriter and producer.

A resourceful social entrepreneur and proven leader, Queen Rose is indeed one to watch.
