Bio Quentin Wiebe
The bio for Quentin Wiebe reads like a script to a movie, keeping in mind of course not all movies are good…well maybe that’s not a good way to start a bio. How about this, I have been playing country music for my entire life. I didn’t start sharing it with the public until I was in grade 12, but I have been singing since I can remember, maybe even before that.
I am currently 33 years old, have 3 children as well as 2 step-children. I have played in a band for about 6 years, (Cowboy X based out of Yorkton for a majority).
Some of my notable accomplishments are; in 2003 I won the CKRM big country talent contest. It allowed me to record a song that I had written as well as branch out and make contacts in the Sask. Music world.
I have been nominated by the SCMA for single of the year, (Dancin’ All Night), as well as Rising Star of the year. I didn’t win, but as a loser “It was just an honor to be nominated”…right?
I have taken the last 4 years off from touring to spend time with my family; I do play shows around Moose Jaw when asked to.
One of the greatest things I do is writing my own songs, I think getting a reaction from a crowd when they listen to an original song is priceless. The emotion that music creates is incredible, and when my songs cause a smile, a tear or even a foot tapping along with the beat is one of the greatest compliments a songwriter can have.
