Quick Shot Paulo

Armed with pop sensibilities, a knack for hooks, and a penetrating rhythm section, Quick Shot Paulo is a melodic, modern pop-rock band and one of the most formidable trios in the southeast. Led by former Transcontinental Records recording artist Chris Harman, and rounded out by Jay Gervais and Vince Mini, Quick Shot Paulo is a dynamic rock outfit with its sights set on glory.

Officially formed in the spring of 2002 in Tampa, FL, Quick Shot Paulo quickly went to work on penning material and refining a live act. Striking inspiration from a wide range of influences, QSP has carved out a sound that is a sweetened blend of the music that its members grew up on. From the glam rock of the 70?s to the radio-rock of the 90?s and everything in between, QSP has picked up many, varied musical pieces along the way and added them to their arsenal.

QSP’s energetic, exciting live show has shared the stage with many well-known artists, including American Hi-Fi, Simple Plan, Tonic, Sister Hazel, Edwin McCain, Vertical Horizon, Hootie and the Blowfish, The Exies, Cowboy Mouth, and The Raveonettes among others. In May 2002, only three months after they formed, QSP finished second in the Clearchannel Starfest Starsearch, which was a fan based poll to determine Tampa Bay’s most popular band. Also, in September 2002, QSP was the only unsigned band invited to perform on The Rock Boat, an annual cruise headlined by Sister Hazel and featuring the music industry’s hottest up-and-coming acts. In March 2003, QSP was handpicked by MTV’s College Television Network to play the main-stage at their Spring Break 2003 show in Panama City, FL, and, that same month, they were selected by Miller Lite as one of the top ten bands in central Florida. QSP was invited to perform at both the 2003 Florida Music Festival in Orlando and the 2003 Music Law Conference in Gainesville, FL. They kicked off the year by being the first rock band ever to perform at the new Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Tampa, FL, opening a week of festivities that included Hootie and the Blowfish, John Anderson, and K.C. and the Sunshine Band. In May, 2004 they were invited to perform at the North by Northeast music conference in Toronto with the likes of Daniel Lanois, MC5, Evan Dando, Mark Arm, and Gary Cherone among others. The boys used the second half of 2004 to write and finalize material, with Chris doing a six week solo tour in Europe. QSP will be in the studio this summer to record their highly anticipated debut album with a late fall or early 2006 release date in mind.
