Quietus

BandAlternativeRock

If 3 Doors Down, Linkin Park, the Ramones and Tenacious D had a love fest that spawned a bastard child that no one would claim, but Metallica agreed to visit every other weekend.... ....that would be Quietus!

Biography

Quietus is the result of three math geeks who tired of spending their hours solely tilling the soils of the corporate cube farm. After a rotation of a few drummers, Quietus has settled down with Brian Leary. A drummer with decades of experience, drum skilz to rival most signed artists, and all with the added challenge of losing an arm as a child.

Instead of trying to restrain the creative impulses that many times take them in very different directions, Quietus has embraced these differences resulting in a varied collection of songs, that will never fall into the trap of "all sounding the same."

Within the music of Quietus you may find songs reminscent of the energy and angst of Linkin' Park, the playful wit of Tenacious D, the softer side of Staind, and a unique blend of alt-rock/hard rock riffs.

Respect

Written By: Quietus

This makes no sense to me
How can you be this cruel?
After all we've been through together, I thought I meant more to you

Every day I try my best
Beat my head against the wall
Through all this strife, I'd give my life, but you don't seem to care at all

And I don't understand what makes this so damn hard
Open up your eyes, and you'll see how bad I'm scarred
Your never ending blows put my patience to the test
When all I ask of you is to show me some respect

I'm the dog that gets kicked, I'm the kid that gets beat
But I keep coming back for more.
I always thought my heart would carry me through, but now I'm not so sure

With all I've done for you
And this the thanks I get
I've turned my back, my heart's gone black
And the sun will forever set

And I don't understand what makes this so damn hard
Open up your eyes, and you'll see how bad I'm scarred
Your never ending blows put my patience to the test
When all I ask of you is to show me some respect

And I don't understand how I took this for so long
That which kills me not, makes me more the strong
Welcome to the end, now I can finally rest
Into my memories, all the years of disrespect
