Bio

Quincy Augustus Peters, AKA Quincy, QP or Q, was born in Petersburg, VA. He is the first-born child to Sydney Scott and Windell Peters. After his parents divorce, Quincy’s mother decided to move to Los Angeles California to pursue her career in entertainment. As his mother pursued her career in entertainment, Quincy developed a hunger to get to know the real city of L.A., the streets. As a young man he had a way with people. Even the pimps and hustlers trusted him. He established relationships with people from the streets as well as those who lived uptown. Mixed with street and church education, he blended both worlds to stay aware of the realities in life as well as understanding the differences between right and wrong. Quincy also felt the need to tell everybody’s story, especially the real story of the street. He wanted to communicate that in layman’s terms so everyone could relate.
While Sydney was working on one of her songs she mentioned to Quincy that she needed a rapper and couldn't find one. Quincy silently went into his room and wrote his first rhyme mixed with a verse from a song by Kris Kross and thus started his rap career at age 11. Quincy began studying artist such as Common Sense, The Roots, Organized Confusion, Rass Kass, Red Man, Tupac, Biggie Smalls, Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, DJ Quick, Jay Z, Bennie Siegle, and much more. After years of development Quincy was ready to hit the stage. Quincy teamed up with two of the best rappers and producers in the neighborhood and performed at school talent shows, parks, and street corners. Once Quincy graduated from high school he was known as one of the most lyrically versatile hip-hop artist around. But due to financial woes Quincy relocated to Washington State to work. Moving to Washington State would turn out to be the turning point in his career. Once Quincy found work he immediately went out searching for the local Hip Hop scene. After ten years of living in the Washington, Quincy has performed in nightclubs up and down the Northwest. Quincy has opened up for known artists such as Mystical, Mike Jones, Do or Die, 2 Live Crew, to name a few. Quincy is a member of City Star Music and is now signed to HD Entertainment Inc. run by successful entrepreneur Tommy Stephenson. Quincy is now one of the most well-known and respected artists in the Northwest.
