Bio
Quincy Holmes; a silky smooth R&B crooner from Atlanta, Georgia is the essence of a pure entertainer. From his electrifying dance moves to the smooth angelic harmonies that drive audiences into a frenzy, Quincy exemplifies why he’s not just an average artist.
Citing some of his musical influences as Donny Hathaway, Jeffrey Osborne, and Isaac Caree of the famed gospel group The Men of Standard, it’s easy to see how Quincy’s unique vocal style has won audiences over time after time. Quincy remembers singing and entertaining as early as the age of 4 where as he was often referred to as “little Micheal Jackson” by adoring fans.
At that tender age it seemed that he was destined for success. Over the next few years his thirst for the spotlight kept expanding. By the age of 18 he began to venture off into other outlets of expression such as writing, producing, and acting. While attending college in Macon, Georgia, Quincy performed in numerous talent shows and was often afforded the opportunity to be the opening act for such major artist as Memphis Bleek, Lil Scrappy, Killer Mike, and Big Boi of Outkast.
After earning his college degree, Quincy moved back home to Atlanta, Georgia to further purse his musical endeavors. It was at this point that Quincy was offered a leading role in the dramatic stage play “The Journey” an urban inspirational take of the “The Wizard of Oz”. Quincy played Scar (the scarecrow) in which he was given the opportunity to show his vocal skills as well as his acting abilities. Soon after, Quincy was given the opportunity to perform in yet another stage play entitled “The Man He Used to Be” where he performed with such legendary R&B artists as Dave Hollister, Christopher Williams, Sean Levert, and Moneefa. While traveling on the road and performing with these plays Quincy continued to write and produce music. Upon his return home to Atlanta, Quincy was selected as one of ten artists in a nationwide talent search from which tens of thousands auditioned.
Quincy is currently in the studio recording songs for his upcoming project where he intends to give superior entertainment pleasure as well as music that will be embellished in the minds of people for years to come.”
