In just a few short years, the streets have been taken by storm by an artist that goes by the name of Qweegy-Bo(Qwee-gee-Bo’). Qweegy was born in Atlantic City, New Jersey ,and has been rapping since the young age of seventeen. He developed his writing and free
styling skills while in various group and foster homes. Qweegy discovered that music was a way to relieve the stress of coming from a dysfunctional way of life. Ever since he has been amazing audiences with his impeccable talent as a pure lyricist.

Qweegy’s style has been inspired by the difficult street life of his past and hip hop greats such as Chuck D, Mobb Deep, Big L, Biggie and Tupac whom Qweegy views as some of the major pillars of Hip-Hop. He believes that Hip-hop is straying away from the very foundation that these pillars put forth, and he is the artist to rebuild this foundation.

He has released 5 projects to date. His latest project is titled” NEW MONEY,” which focuses on the commercial side and street life side of Atlantic City. This album has sold over 14,000 copies in the Tri-State area alone without major distribution. He has also been featured numerous times on some of Hip hops top DJ’s such as DJ Wats, DJ Do It All, DJ P. Cutta, Funk Master Flex and has spit with the best on numerous other mix tapes. He has been featured on regionally and nationally distributed DVD’s, and has also toured the country performing from the east coast to the west coast and even Jamaica.
Not only is Qweegy-bo a major contributor to his Atlantic City neighborhood, he also runs various youth programs which are supported without external funding. He provides alternatives to street life for local youth such as neighborhood football teams, basketball teams, dance teams and tutoring programs. Additionally, Qweegy Bo works as a Covenant house counselor who helps troubled youth ages 18 to 21. He provides the youth with a positive role model and inspires them to follow their dreams and is living proof that you can overcome even the greatest obstacles with hard work and determination.
He has numerous accomplishments under his belt. He has set out for big things in 2008 . Qweegy-bo has recently won album of the year for an unsigned artist in New Jersey based on fan votes. He has appeared on Naomi’s New Morning, a faith based talk show that high light his success story, and is working on a reality television show that aims to bring the struggle of America’s youth to light. (Info confidential until taping begins). He is also the designer for his own clothing label, O.I.C. (OUTGOING INTELLIGENT CREATIVE).

In recent months, Qweegy has seen national exposure courtesy of 106&Park, one of BET’s highest rated shows. He has also received interest from some of music’s top record labels such as Def Jam, Atlantic, Fight Club, Capitol Records, and Sony. Always on his grind, Qweegy-Bo has been on the radio promoting his smash single Laddi Daddi, an old school remake that boasts some his best wordplay to date.
