Bio

Lead singer, songwriter and acoustic guitar, Scott Raba with Nick Jekyll - lead guitar; James Stephens – bass; and drummer Jamie Brazier.
Twenty four year old Scott has been writing, recording and performing original material since he was 17 years old. Scott is a story teller with a strong sense of melody emphasised by Scott’s amazing vocals. His range of influences include Jim Croce, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day, Manic Street Preachers and Kings of Leon.
In 2009 Scott formed RABA with old school friend Jamie and with Nick who were at college with Scott’s younger sister. James joined the band in 2011. The band launched their debut EP on 21 January and will be gigging throughout 2012 to build their fanbase from its strong West London roots. Having seen them at the launch David Durant (Head of Live & Unsigned Music, Brooklands Radio) started playing their single ‘Home’. David says:
‘Fresh, original with tight vocals and harmonies and very likeable songs, reminiscent of the legendary Boss, the great Bruce Springsteen! RABA will have your toes tapping, and you will find yourself humming their songs when you least expect it! This is certainly a band to watch out for 2012!’
A tight and explosive rhythm section alongside delicate harmonies and expressive guitar work provide the perfect setting for Scott’s vocals. Every song boasts warm melodies and passionate lyrics. RABA is Manic Street Preachers meets the Kings of Leon, with a little something of its own.
