Rachel Allyn

Rachel represents the past and present of country music and does so with respect, talent, and class.

Rachel independently released her debut EP, Late Nights and Early Mornings, in the spring of 2009. Warren Hibbert headed the Grammy Award winning production team, including John Seymour of Treefort Studios in Hoboken, New Jersey, and Joe Palmaccio of The Place for Mastering in Nashville, Tennessee. The team sought out established Nashville musicians, including Brandon Bush of Sugarland’s band, who would be able to realize the vision of the songs. Wanting the record to be authentically “Rachel,” the vocals were achieved completely without use of studio tricks or processors. Critics have praised the effort, saying that the EP “provides an exciting musical picture of an emerging talent that isn't about to be contained,” and, “proves there’s hope for country music after all.” Fans agree. Supported by two successful summer tours of the Northeast in 2009 and 2010, Late Nights and Early Mornings has sold well at live shows and online.

In January of 2010, Rachel released the single “Gettin’ By (AMA Remix),” the accompanying video for which was released in the summer of 2010. The remix was done by Alan Morgan, one of Nashville’s most sought out producers who has done remixes for artists including Taylor Swift, Dolly Parton, Brad Paisley, Reba McEntire, and Faith Hill. Her follow up single, “Say Hello To Goodbye,” was released in May of 2011 and is being heavily promoted to radio and fans. An official video for the song has been released. “Lovely Lily” was released in August 2011.

Rachel Allyn grew up in a suburban New Jersey family bereft of musicians but brimming with musical appreciation. Her lullabies were written by the Beatles and her playtime was underscored by the music on CMT. For the entirety of her childhood, she absorbed music. Yearning to improve and expand, she picked up the guitar and started writing. Inspired by greats like John Lennon, Emmylou Harris, Shania Twain, and Elvis Costello, she launched herself off the solid foundation laid before her and into her own ideas and thoughts.

Rachel has extensive performing experience that belies her age. Her first paying gig was in 2002, at the age of twelve. In the years following, she cut her teeth with hundreds of performances in the New Jersey bar scene, becoming a sought after and recognized performer in the Northeast before moving to Nashville to attend Belmont University in the fall of 2007. Her talent and persistence has given her opportunities to open for Thompson Square, Leon Redbone, John Sebastian, and Todd Snider and perform onstage with Gretchen Wilson, Crystal Shawanda, and country legend Bobby Bare. She is currently the house band for New Jersey radio station, Thunder 106. But it was an impromptu performance with Shania Twain at New York’s Madison Square Garden in 2003 that confirmed what she already knew – she needs to sing.

With Late Nights and Early Mornings, Rachel Allyn establishes herself as an emotional and powerful vocalist, effective songwriter and interpreter, and hardworking artist.
