From a small mountain town in north Georgia, "Rachel and I" deliver a harmony driven sound that is unmistakably straight from the heart.
Many artists sing songs about heartbreak and love, but very few sing it from the closeness and experience that Rachel and Josh do. When they sat down to write what would eventually become "Look Around", their new album, (set to be released October 2009), it was obvious that they had a lot to say. These two have been together for the better part of six years and their lyrics reflect a life of true love and the struggles of growing up, inevitabilities we all endure at some point in our lives. Songs of true love, heartbreak, hopes and dreams fill the air from this deep rooted duet and the experiences they write about have taken many years to mold and frame.
The heartfelt lyrical harmonies combined with music that rings of folk and alt country keep you coming back every time. As their album release is nearing, Rachel And I are getting ready to set out to share their music with whoever is kind enough to listen. Whether it is a concert stage or a cedar front porch, their music rings just as true whomever the listeners may be.
