Bio

With just a listen to her music, one could tell Rachel Epp is a country girl at heart. Originally from Maryland and Virginia, her lyrics ring with familiarity and comfort of home, the simplicity of everyday emotions of loss and change, all the while digging for hope and meaning in each situation.
Fellow musician and a writer of Urban Folk, Paul Alexander, says,"Achingly honest and full of passion, Rachel's delivery is always captivating and her lyrics take listeners to places they have been before while offering new insight on moments familiar to us all."
Along with her honest songwriting, comes that voice. With the clarity of Alison Krauss and power of Patty Griffin, it's actually Rachel's voice that shines during her performances.
Epp is recording her second EP this autumn with engineer/musician, Will Hensley, who has worked with the likes of Ray LaMontagne and Regina Spektor, and is planning an east coast spring tour with fellow musicians, Jennings and Brandon Anderson.
