"Rachel Rabin takes solo singer singing into a whole new era"

Rachel Rabin- With a voice that recalls Patsy Cline and Cher, Rachel Rabin takes solo singer singing into a whole new era swathed in live ’80s shaped keys powered along live by very much live drums… Dark lyrics mind you….it’s like Americana gone cold wave electronica, interesting work and commercial too - The london gig guide

Bio

British artist Rachel Rabin kickstarted her musical career in London at age 15, in the smoke-filled garages of the local indie scene, learning to mix Trip-Hop records on a friends vinyl decks, while spitting lyrics on cue.

The grand daughter of 1950's muscic mogul Oscar Rabin, Rachel's first instrument was the clarinet. After leaving school, she absorbed herself in the local band scene. While hanging out with indie bands in a derelict East London rehearsal studio, she began to sing, play the guitar and write her own music. After landing a slot on indie radio in 2010, Rachel decided to take things more seriously and in 2011, she moved to Los Angeles with a month's savings in her pocket and her duvet in her suitcase. Only weeks after her first show in Hollywood, Rachel signed a global publishing deal with EMI (later Sony ATV).

Since then, Rachel has been working on her debut album "Into Heaven Alone" with with electronic and urban producers including Fred Falke, as well as collaborating on EDM projects with the likes of David Guetta and Avici. A platinum selling writer in her own right, Rachel has also co-written songs released by Multi platinum artists including Rita Ora, Tulisa (UK), Ty Dollar Sign (Atlantic) and has upcoming releases with Anna David (Germany), Djs Fred Falke and Mysto and Pizzi.
