Bio

A natural talent, by the time Rachel was twelve years old, she developed song writing skills. After playing melodies on her small keyboard for several years, she began to grow an interest in the guitar. By the time she was sixteen years old, she learned the basic chord structures, and she also enrolled in classes with Mr. Paul Souza. He taught her how to read music and encouraged her song-writing skills. Meanwhile, trouble at home shifted her personal life into a world of free-writing and soul-searching. She did this for a few years until she rededicated her life to Jesus Christ. After this, she met an extraordinary man named Frank Blanas. He helped her rediscover herself as a singer and writer and introduced her to a man named Ray Ruffin. He was a remarkable producer and promoter who had experience producing records for ABC and Dot Records prior to establishing his own label, Oak Records. He also helped many artist with there careers, such as Pat Boone, Reba McIntyre, Merle Haggard, Marty Robbins, Roy Orbison, Willie Nelson, George Strait, Hank Williams Jr. and many more. He also shed light on many aspects in Rachel Renae’s singing career. He taught her how to improve herself as a singer and a writer, and mentored Rachel for a couple of years. He allowed her to witness the business end of producing records, and also allowed her to study famous studio musicians working in the studio, American Recording Studio, where Ray was working at the time with Bill Cooper and Richie Podolor. Sadly, Ray Ruff died in September of 2005. After this distressing event, her passion was re-ignited. Not only did she need to spread a message to people, but she needed to do it for Ray. He had made a huge impact in her life, and one thing he taught her was to never give up. So Rachel continues to sing across California, hoping to spread a positive message for her generation, a message of hope. Lately, she has been nominated for a music award near her hometown for “Best Unplugged Artist,” interviewed by local radio stations, reviewed by magazines, such as Stanislaus Magazine, and is currently playing on Online radio stations. She is also currently playing on four local television stations. She continues to sing with support from her local community, family, friends, church, FANS, and of course her generous Sponsors!
