Bio

Rachel Thom has been singing since age 2, performing since age 5, writing since age 10, and playing guitar since age 14. Being born into a musically inclined family can only help a young woman with a dream. She is now 21 and has come a long way. She is not your average pop star. Miss Thom is unique, and it is because of her intriguing tone and ability to be an artist outside of the box, that has led music industry leaders to become captivated by her talent. Aside from sharing a stage with Fred Penner at age 9, singing the National Anthem in front of 34,000 Edmonton Eskimos fans, and belting it out on a stage at the Calgary Stampede at age 10, she has since performed in the Athlete’s Village and on the main stage during the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics both solo and with Barney Bentall (Juno winner). She has also opened for names such as Matthew Good, Devo, Alpha Yaya Diallo, 5 Alarm Funk, Crystal Method, and along side many other artists (including those performing at the 2009 Pemberton Festival). On a smaller scale, she plays many regular shows in Whistler, B.C. with the help of her keyboard. Her voice and passion for sound is a gift, a gift she intends to continue to declare as a future. Her confidence and determination has only been the preface of success. She is also eager to find a record label who can help her music career take off in a huge way.
