"Bringing Stars Indoors"

“It is extremely rare for the stars to not shine bright at Terrigal most nights. The Soul Sessions have brought some of the stars indoors...
adding more brilliance to this local galaxy by having the sensational local trio of Racz and Waters as special guests.

A repeated word throughout the well patroned Venue was 'beautiful'. Beautiful music, beautiful voices and three beautiful women to epitomize the venue's name - Sirens.

With seemingly effortless effort this most entertaining trio had the patrons lulled into silence, mesmerized into enjoyment and totally enthralled with their most unique talents.

From unusual instruments all the way to three of the most beautifully suited, angelic harmonies this trio just cannot help but captivate an audience.

The song writing capabilities are only reinforced by the rendition of some of the most beautiful original works penned locally.

The unique interpretation of unusual covers songs made you wonder why they weren't performed that way in the first place."

"Racz 'n Waters @ the Orphanage Sessions"

“I went to see these guys after receiving an email from them asking to play an Orphanage Session. Our basic rule when asking guests to play with us, is that we have to be excited about their music. We figure if we are excited, then we know it will make a good show.

When I saw these guys I was blown away by the quality of their songs, combined with the instrumentation of Karen’s Guitar, Ingrid’s energetic Bodhran and Tahlia’s Mandolin. These girls have got a great sound that stands apart from the crowd.”

"Live @ PopTarts, Balmain"

“Racz 'n Waters made their debut last January at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. This power trio is made up of songwriter and guitars Karen-Anne Waters and sisters Ingrid and Tahlia Racz providing percussion, mandolin and anything else you can think of. Think celtic rhythms, three part harmonies meet folk/country.”

Bio

Winners of the Tamworth Blowes Trousers Country Music Busking Championships 2009!
KarenAnne Waters and Tahlia and Ingrid Racz are three powerful and captivating singer/songwriters with a performance history to match.
With (separately) International & National festivals and songwriting awards & nominations under their belts, Racz 'n Waters (pronounced Race 'n Waters) have come together to create a truly unique and beautiful sound, captivating festival audiences who stem from all over Australia as well as enjoying top spots on the International Internet Radio.

Coming together over food and MEN intolerances, their songs are cheeky, honest, completely heartfelt and about everyday and extraordinary life experiences of love and woe and the beautiful lives they lead.

Having been together for 1 year, the girls have enjoyed acclaim from the Sydney, Central Coast & Newcastle songwriting scene as well as the Australian Songwriters Association. They were nominated for a top 5 Tamworth 09 TSA Award for their song REVENGE and won a Highly Commended for Karen-Anne's song FALL in the 2008 MusicOz Awards.
A songwriting highlight for 2009 was having their song The Dreaming chosen for Newcastle's STARSTRUCK held in June at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre.
They have returned from a busy and very successful 2009 Tamworth CMF, winning the Bisley Blowes Trousers Australian Buskers Championship and are now invited to perform in the Opening Concert for Tamworth 2010.

Based in Newcastle & the Central Coast the girls have plenty of inspiration to draw from when it comes to the world around them. Making music and performing is the biggest reward for them and when they get the chance to entertain, inspire and evoke emotions from an audience....well that's the biggest bonus of all!!!

Hitting the road & flying the skies to spread their music and pushing their debut album "NOTHING BORROWED" is the aim for the girls in 2009. Bring it on! :-)
