Still working on that hot first release.

This 4-piece ensemble, originating from the Newcastle region of NSW is a collective of musicians coming together to form Radio Cairo. Members are: Simon Hollins: Singer, Dean Brown: Drums, Mike Latham: Guitar, Paul Osborne: Bass.

Formed in late 2011, Radio Cairo has had many career highs. Most recently at the Australia day concert at the Rock this seasoned band performed as the headline act. Previous to that, Radio Cairo also headlined the 2011 Earth Hour charity concert. Plus have also been the lead band at Wyndham Estate Music festival – ‘Thanks for the Music’.

With this in mind, draw your own conclusions. All the useless information you do not need to know about this band and yet still want to is contained within the record.

We hope you never find it.

Naturally, you are curious. Who is this Radio Cairo? It will amuse you to hear that we are still unsure. We found them in the forest; bound and gagged. We haven’t been able to shut them up since.

Radio Cairo recorded this album to prove that life on earth exists. Radio Cairo were formed by the powers that be to justify the invention of ears.

Radio Cairo are somewhere between the Cure and Interpol but only in poorly compiled dictionaries.
