Bio

Is hard to talk about rock bands in Venezuela between 1985 and 1995 without naming RADIOCLIP. During that decade, this group went from playing in bars and distributing cassettes with their demos,to playing in arenas and theaters across the country and sharing the stage with Latin artists such as Charly Garcia, Fito Paez, Franco Devita and bands like INXS and REO Speedwagon. During those 10 years they released four albums, RADIOCLIP (1988), “Donde sopla el viento” (1990), “Fuego en la corriente” (1992), and “desde zero” (1994). On these four discs were many radio hits , including several number one’ hits on Venezuelan pop and rock radio stations, plus innumerable television appearances, radio and newspapers.
RADIOCLIP also played steadily throughout Venezuela in numerous concerts and festivals during their first decade as band, generating a loyal fan base and a reputation as one of the groups with better live shows at the time..
Their musical style at the beginning was a mixture of Pop-Rock in Spanish with the New-Wave sounds so popular during the 80's,but eventually matured into a sound more intense with a harder edge, with songs with richer and more complex arrangements, and lyrics that reflected the maturity gained by the members of the band during the decade they were one of the most important rock bands in Venezuela.
The band, which broke up in late 1995, reunites again, but this time in the city of Miami (USA) in 2008, with most of its original members, and renowned local musician Jorge Delgado (ex tango 36) as their new lead singer. In this new phase they have been playing the South Florida rock circuit ,and they were chosen to perform at the “independence of Venezuela” Festival in July 2009.
In mid-2009 began the production of their new album,’Brilla’ ("Shine,") which will be released simultaneously in Venezuela and the United States in June 2010.
"Brilla", the new album by the band, represents the sum of the experiences of 5 musicians who have devoted themselves with passion to maintain both the group's musical legacy through history, but at the same time with their feet firmly planted on the 21st century, and resulting on a sound both retro and innovative, and with the power and passion that always characterized Radioclip.

‘Brilla” features seven powerful brand new tracks, including the first ones in English ever made by the band in their history, plus three old fan favorites recorded “live” at the studio.
Produced by renowned Miami musician Carlos “kako “Guzman, the idea for the new album was to record it basically live, with very few overdubs, to try the capture the energy and sound of the band live shows, but inside a recording studio,
They succeeded brilliantly, releasing an album that is fresh, raw, and deliberate rough around the edges, but with the intense energy and excitement of their live shows.
