Bio
What sets us apart from other bands? Pure and simple - our Sound and our Songs. Our signature Sound is centred on a rich vocal, backed by creative interplay between guitar, bass and drums. The songs combine distinctive chord progressions built on innovative voicings with moments of highly charged rock. Together these elements create an accessible sound that is uniquely "RadioPlay".
RadioPlay was formed in January 2006. We recorded an album, “First Calling”, over the summer of 2006 at Metalworks Studios. In November, we had our CD launch to a packed house at Alleycatz on Yonge Street in Toronto. One thing we're proud of is that there's not just one or two songs on the CD that people tend to like more than the others – it seems that everyone that hears the CD has a different favourite song!
We play various venues around the GTA. We have a loyal and growing fan base that follows us from gig to gig.
The band is currently working on new songs for its next album scheduled to be released in 2007. We are already incorporating the new songs from this album into our live shows.
