RADIOSILENCE
Boston, Massachusetts, United States
Bio
The band started in January 2007 as Big Bang Baby, a tribute to Stone Temple Pilots. After only a handful of rehearsals, they clicked rather quickly and it wasn't too long before they were playing shows. The band played numerous venues, bars and clubs ranging all over the Northeastern part of the country all the way up until the end of 2009.
After a couple of lineup changes, the band finally decided it was time to move on bigger things and make the switch to an original project. It was obvious to these starving artists that in order for the band to continue, they needed to flex their creative muscles.
Macaulay moved behind the drum kit and set up his recording gear inside the band's jam room. The band took their time by molding their sound through live improv and premeditated song ideas. Their unique style of music took shape through their large range of musical influences, feeling out the songs as time went on, demoing tracks repeatedly, countless compromises and making spontaneous last-minute production decisions.
Lead singer Bill McGrath, lead guitarist Brendan Flaherty, drummer/producer Dave Macaulay, and bassist/guitarist Mike Boyle have been writing, recording and producing their own material for well over a year now. They are now ready to unveil what they have been working so hard on. After a worthwhile wait, they are now ready to hit the Boston music scene in full force. Expect a four-song EP, as well as numerous shows in the New England area and a full-length album from RADIOSILENCE in 2011!
