Bio

Why she's NOT the next Beyonce!

Little girls are the most impressionable creatures on earth. So its no wonder why the top retailers are stocked with all of the pop iconic material. Hillary Duff nail polish, Beyonce bookbags, Mary Kate & Ashley parfum...etc. etc. All of these stars have huge followings and their record sales don't disprove that theory.

So why would a young woman...who's voice makes the Ashlee Simpsons of the world sound like Oscar the Grouch - a voice that could actually go toe-to-toe with the Beyonces and the Whitney Houstons of this world...choose Gospel music, one of the lowest grossing areas of the music industry?

"I Love the Lord!" says Raena J. (pronounced Ray-na) yet ANOTHER great star in the making from Detroit (of Motown fame).

Raena J. it seems was bred to be the next big thing.

Attending The School of Performing Arts (the same school that produced Aliyah) and being accepted to the University of Michigan - 2 institutions where only the BEST are taught and groomed for the biggest of stages.

Of course a voice like that has its perks.

She has graced stages both as a featured singer and actress on tours of the continental U.S. as well as Denmark, and London. Each performance ending the same, with her fan base growing.

But do you see any Raena J. watches?...purses?...lipstick?

No.

Why not?

There's one other thing you should know about little girls. They LOVE their Daddies.

"I watched my father die day by day. He lost one of his legs, and part of his other. He was confined to a wheelchair. In the morning, I would help wash and dress him before taking him to doctor's appointments. When his kidneys failed, he taught me how to set up his dialysis machine, and I became his live-in nurse."

Her father was known as a man of God.
A pastor and a father who loved his little girl.

How could someone who was so close to a loved one, who also claims they love God - exploit themselves in ways similar to the pop artists of today? 'The tighter the shirt the higher the skirt' motto most marketing campaigns promote does not "fit" Raena J.

"I will never forget what my dad taught me through his sufferings; he taught me to be a bold, radical Christian."

And her gift, her promise, her mission...is her VOICE.

She's no little girl anymore. Her experiences on stage and off have made that clear.

But don't take our word for it...

*Experience*...RAENA J!
