as far as she can recall, raha's musical career began somewhere between the ages of 3 and 5 when she performed 'Twinkle Twinke' (or possibly a different work of the same or similar caliber) on the violin, in front of a most attentive and interested audience of pre-schoolers somewhere in Iran. since then, music = life, though she only started writing her own songs and playing all her instruments simultaneously about a year ago.
raha made her singer/songwriter debut on July 24, 2006 at O'Grady's in Toronto, and has played several shows since along artists such as Sleep the Season, Jamie Hunter, Tiny Danza, Casey Baker (of Sleeper Set Sail/City in Colour), Brett Friesen and the Great Lakes, Twilight Hotel and more...
On December 21, 2006, raha released her first CD, a 5-song EP entitled 'ticket to...', featuring songs off her upcoming album, to be released sometime soon in 2007.
raha is a member of 'not in london Productions', a Toronto-based arts company that promotes good theatre, art, music, and photography. she is proudly the resident musician, and has composed and recorded musical scores for past 'nil' theatrical productions. www.notinlondonproductions.com
