Raianne Richards

This self titled album was self produced and released in 2004 when Raianne was just 18 years old! She is joined by musicians Mark Mandeville and Dean Bagley. A fine attempt at the DIY multi-instrumentalist one-woman band thing featuring acoustic guitar, bass and...clarinet! Eight songs in all, mostly about falling and being in love.

The record features Mark Mandeville and Jerry Fels accompanying Raianne on many different instruments and voice.

Bio

Following her 2004 self titled release Raianne Richards has spent the last five years playing faithfully in chamber folk trio "the accident that led me to the world". In between touring nationally with the band Raianne has continued to write songs and compiled them into a full length album called "Simple in this Place". The music was partially written while visiting a family cabin in Temple, ME parts of which are featured on the front and back covers. To celebrate the release of "Simple in this Place" and Mark Mandeville's new record "No Big Plans" Raianne and her friends Mark Mandeville and Christopher Bell embarked on a 17 day walking tour traversing the length of Massachusetts from Becket to Boston performing each night along the way. Raianne Richards and Mark Mandeville now perform as a duo accompanying each other on their respective songs in stripped down live arrangements with ukulele, guitar, harmonica, penny whistle and vocals.Immediately following the walking tour Raianne and Mark performed at the 2010 North By Northeast Music Festival in Toronto, Canada marking their first international performance experience.
