Rich Baumeister, (BORN June 13th 1984) Better known by his stage name (RAIGE) Is quickly rising as one of the best up and coming Hip Hop Artists in the game today. Born and Raised on the West Coast (California)
Raige began to make a name for himself at sixteen doing open mic and freestyle competitions all over the Sacramento area. at seventeen he signed a developmental contract with AAA Productions and recorded his first demo "The Indwelling" which got mixed reviews. The critics loved his rhymes, but weren't sure about his producers beats. Raige received offers from multiple labels, including Sony and Arista, but unfortunately his management team was more interested in their success than his so he was never notified. When he did find out what they were keeping from him, he severed all contact with the company. Unfortunately he was signed for another two years.
Unable to do much of anything, and with a daughter
on the way he decided to do whatever it he had to do. He started selling, cars, jewelry, drugs, whatever he could do to make money while living in one of the roughest neighborhoods in Northern California (North Highlands). In 2006 Raige split up with his Child's mother and moved to Colorado. After a nasty custody battle and after not seeing his daughter A'lyese in over two years he was reunited with his children on November 30th 2009. and has been ever since. On December 1st 2010, he met DJ Multimix Rich Ross) at "Tony's" in Fort Collins. Ross introduced him to Troy Notts, a DJ and up and coming producer in the area.
After hearing Raige's demo Notts agreed to produce his entire album "Nuthin To Lose". His first three singles; "Until My Last Breath" "Street Soldier", and "Mind Trip" received rave reviews and really put him on the map in Colorado. in the summer of 2011 he and Notts began to do shows in the No-Co area where he started collaborating with local artists such as, Dizzy, Tone,Swagga ect... Raige has opened for artists such as, Trap Muzik, D.N.A. Three-Six Mafia and Lil Flip. Whether you love him or hate him, you can't deny that Raige is one of the most lyrical and captivating artists out right now.
