She is indeed that. Originally from NorCal having grown up in Fremont and Napa, Raihanna Estrada moved to Southern California to pursue college and then to Los Angeles when she realized her passion and heart was with music. At NorCal Country, we know that everyone has a story. Not everyone who listens to country music here looks like or sounds exactly like “country bumpkins”, but their hearts are with country music and there’s always a reason for it. In Raihanna’s case, her parents helped shape her love for country music. “I have been singing country music ever since I was a little girl,” she said. “My parents used to go country dancing at a place in San Jose that was called ‘Cow Town’ and my dad was a big Merle Haggard fan.” (continued) - NorCal Country

Bio
Raihanna Estrada has loved performing since she was a little girl. She sang along to Disney songs and tunes of Annie, and around age 11 found her voice singing Country music. She grew up on a ranch in the town of Lake Berryessa in Napa Valley, California. She enjoyed horseback riding, catching tadpoles in the creek and line dancing to the country bands they’d have in the lodge on the weekends. Occasionally they would have karaoke and one particular night Raihanna got up by herself and sang the song “Change My Mind” from 90s country music star John Berry. She loved the feeling of singing on stage so much that she signed up again and sang “Human Nature” by Michael Jackson.
Around age 13, Raihanna began writing her own songs in her notebooks and learned to sing from popular artists that had songs out at that time. Such as Christina Aguilera, Jo Dee Messina, Travis Tritt, Dixie Chicks, Phil Vassar, LeAnn Rimes, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill. She learned to mimic these artists well. One day while driving up the windy roads to Lake Berryessa Raihanna asked her Mom, “Which artist should I sing? Name any artist and I’ll sing just like them.” Her Mom replied, “What about Raihanna? What does RAIHANNA sound like?” That was a defining moment for her and made her really develop her own style and a voice made for Country music.
In 2009, Raihanna enrolled in the Vocal Program at Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA. This move changed her life. It was there that Raihanna put her first band together and began co-writing and gigging around Los Angeles. She met musicians from all over the country and the world that she still works with today. After graduating, she continued to gig with her band and recorded her first self titled EP Raihanna Estrada and released it on iTunes.
While attending Musicians Institute, Raihanna met a guitarist from Calgary, Alberta, Canada named Eric Bickerstaffe. The two became friends, played music and fell in love while exploring Los Angeles together. They married August 2013 and love being able to play, write, travel, perform and share the same passion for music.
The Summer of 2014 Raihanna paired up with producer Douglas Charles Showalter to record her second EP Take Me Back that was released October 2014 on iTunes, CDbaby and Bandcamp.
In October 2014, Raihanna and her husband Eric made the big move to Nashville, Tennessee and are very excited to keep pursuing their music journey in Music City.
Raihanna has had the pleasure of playing venues such as: The Wiltern Theater, The Egyptian Theater, Sacramento County Fair, Fremont Festival of the Arts, California Poppy Festival, Stagecoach Festival, opening for Gwen Sebastian, Craig Campbell and The Farm at Nevada Wildfest in Las Vegas & YeeHaw UK Country Music Festival in England.
Reviews on Raihanna’s second EP “Take Me Back” -
“There are many factors that determine if an independent artist will make it over the threshold and begin their path to stardom, but the simple fact is that it all comes back to the songs. They need to be catchy, memorable, and something that we want to hear again and again. Those factors are exactly what Raihanna Estrada has accomplished with her brand new EP Take Me Back.” - One Stop Country
“The title track of the new EP is our featured song, and combines her light country-pop vocals with bluegrass/roots instruments for a truly sweet piece that feels refreshing in our currently saturated market. The lyrics descend into nostalgic memories of a lost love against a melody that is delightfully catchy without being too in-your-face.” – For The Country Record
