Rain Diary was founded four years ago in Helsinki/Tampere and has developed their music towards the longing tunes of “dark wave” landscapes.
* In autumn 2008, the band released its debut EP, Rain Diary, which was quickly sold out and became an underground favourite in semi-gothic circles. The director Juha Lankinen (Sara, Jonna Tervomaa, Emmi, etc.) shot a music video for the song ‘It’s Only Rain’.
* Rain Diary’s digisingle ‘Lost’ was released worldwide on January 6th 2010 and was supported by the video by Jani Saajanaho (Before The Dawn, Profane Omen, Misery Inc. etc.). Single found its way to Finnish official download charts.
Rain Diary has managed to create a moderate but still forever growing fan base which has and the second place in Finnish biggest radio station’s YleX’s Himotuimmat chart.
Currently the band is working with their debut album with the great help of producer and co-writer Jaani Peuhu (the man behind Iconcrash; producer of Kwan, Before The Dawn, Thunderstone etc.); album’s first five tracks were recorded in Sonic Pump Studios during spring 2009 and spring 2010 and are here to be listened in their raw mix format…

Rain Diary on neljä vuotta sitten perustettu helsinkiläis-tamperelainen yhtye, joka soittaa tumman puhuvaa ja kauniin haikeaa ”dark-wave”–musiikkia.
* Yhtye julkaisi nimikko-EP:nsä vuoden 2008 alkusyksystä, jonka pohjalta syntyi musiikkivideo It’s Only Rain ohjaajanaan Juha Lankinen (mm. Sara, Anna Eriksson, Jonna Tervomaa ym.).
* Digisingle ’Lost’ julkaistiin maailmanlaajuisesti 6.1.2010, jolle Jani Saajanaho (Before The Dawn, Profane Omen, Misery Inc.) ohjasi musiikkivideon. Single saavutti menestystä myös Suomen virallisella latauslistalla.
Keikkailun ja oman promootion myötä Rain Diary on saavuttanut hiljalleen kasvavan ja uskollisen kuulijakunnan; esim. YleX Himotuimmat -listan 2. sija.
Parhaillaan yhtye työstää debyytti-albumiaan; tukena ja ideasampona toimii tuottaja ja co-writer Jaani Peuhu, alias Mr. Iconcrash (tuottajana mm. Kwan, Before The Dawn, Thunderstone ym.). Keväiden 2009 ja 2010 Helsingin Sonic Pump Studiolla äänitettyjen viiden sävellyksen raakamiksaukset ovat täällä teidän kuunneltavissanne…
