[Rainmarket made the cover of this issue, January 2005]

"Rainmarket is ready to shine and...is most likely to bask in the sun of commercial success..."

"All of the 11 tracks on 'September' (Produced by Ted Comerford, mixed by Mitch Easter) are personal tales of relationships, mainly songs about love lost."

"'Hurricanes" is the first track on 'September' and it seems to be a surefire commercial hit song. The chorus has a great hook." - Ninevolt Magazine (Jeff Maisey)

"A lot of [Rainmarket's] heart and soul went into the music."

"The band's music is emotional, bold, confident, sure and serious. Rainmarket has...found its own sound, and it fits perfectly."

"Rainmarket is looking for the [January 6, 2005] Norva show to be a success, especially since few local bands headline at the venue." - Soundings Magazine (Angie Moon)

"Pop/progressive rock group Rainmarket has been playing locally for three years, but [their] new full-length album will be a surprise for fans.

Lead singer Luke Taylor's voice is still the main focal point of songs, as are the stories and lyrics that spill from his mouth. Everything else is different. The band's tone is bolder, more sure, more serious and more emotional. It's as if [Rainmarket] finally found a sound that fits."

"Songs such as 'Drive On' are louder, vibrant, upbeat and more in your face. Yet for those longing for some of the old sweetness will find it in a few tunes like 'Bristol.'"

- Soundings Magazine

Bio

Professional. Honest. Intelligent. Sensational. Rainmarket is a band that would rather let their music and performance prove these claims. A band that has somehow managed to overcome ten personnel changes over two years. A band that’s business sense is as keen as their music is compelling. Members: Luke Taylor, Geoff Logan, Jason Neal, and Kenneth Adcock are nothing less than musical conduits. Having struggled to surmount wave after wave of disappointment and constant test, they channel a fury and integrity into their performance that cannot be manufactured. No band stands on talent alone. The reality is, raw talent, no matter its quality is only as incredible as you make people believe. In such a convoluted business, it takes clever, forward thinking in order to convince listeners that what you offer is worthy. Rainmarket’s professional attitude and strong industry relationships ensure a complete package. Obvious and tremendous talent. Sharp and ethical business. Stop reading. Come out to a show. Listen to the music. Talk to the members. Let Rainmarket prove to you that their future is both bright and inevitable.

Rainmarket has appeared with:

Dave Matthews
Gavin DeGraw
Switchfoot
Tonic
Billy Idol
Bowling for Soup
Evan and Jaron
Spin Doctors
Carbon Leaf
and many regional acts.

(Also, Rainmarket has been rained out of shows with Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, David Gray, Maroon 5, and Matchbox Twenty – each separately. It looks like they have the rain market cornered…hence, the name).
