Raising Cain

Chicago, Illinois based Metal/Rock band, Raising Cain, started their journey in 2003, performing at local Christian venues to rock a positive message of hope to young unbelievers. Raising Cain is an all-American family Metal band, derived from their surname, ‘Cain’, and they are raising havoc in the devil’s kingdom. This group began as a band of four brothers, Rocko Cain, David Cain, Doug Cain, Steveo Cain, and their father, Papa Cain, with an outside strong member, Jeremy, who has been with the band for six years now. Together they are drawing attention to the music industry on all levels. Their music generates a head-banging symphony that is harmonized with a mix of crushing metal and melody, driving an unnoticed force in the metal underground.

Releasing their first album, “X”, in 2005, Raising Cain has traveled the Midwest inspiring many Metal enthusiasts young and old. They have been in existence for ten years and have played in Denver, Sturgis, Lake of the Ozarks, Illinois State Fair, Conerstone Festival, Milwaukee Metal Festival, Peoria Metal Festival, and many others. In 2006, they had been honored to kick-off a national tour from Illinois to California, which applauded them national recognition thorough the airwaves on nine radio, and countless internet syndicates from New York to California. Opening for such bands, Shattermask, landed Raising Cain the opportunity to be featured in the August 2006 issue of ‘Guitar World’ magazine and gave them a place on the CD featuring the late "Dimebag" Darryll. Late 2006, they released their second album, “No Blood No Sale”, which granted them rave reviews from fans all over the country, selling 300 copies the first releasing day.

This band has a driven passion for the music they create and love, which is Metal/Rock. Their lyrics inspire a positive message and the enthusiastic performance they sell to their audience is truly amazing. Most of their influences come from bands like, Pantera, Kill Switch Engage, Mudvayne and Slipknot, just to name a few.

Raising Cain continues on the road, playing for their beloved fans while more follow behind. They are currently working with 747 Productions Studios based out of California and Peoria, Illinois, and in the following late 2009, Raising Cain will be working on releasing a new set of songs for their third EP and new video.
