Discography
Jamal Rogers, also known as RajiTheOne, was born in Evanston, Illinois on March 28, 1990.
Raised on the southside of Chicago, Raji, the oldest of six, had his hands full at an early age. He managed to balance the realities of a rough environment while struggling to set an example for his younger siblings despite the lack of leadership from his absent father. Pencil drawings of portraits became Raji's form of expression until he discovered his ear for music. Listening to early 90's hip hop and R&B; along with classic legends like Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding, Raji directed his creative abilities towards the flow of music.
In high school, Raji perfected his creative niche by taking courses such as theatre and audio production classes which allowed him to further explore the depth of his crafts. Raji was nominated “most likely to be in a music video” and “most likely to win a Grammy” in his 2008 graduating class.
"I never felt like a cool kid in high school. I didn't care about those type of titles but my peers saw potential in me that I clearly needed to see in myself," says Raji.
Nevertheless Raji sprung into action and landed a publishing deal with Bar Music Group in 2010 after declining an opportunity to go to college on multiple scholarships. Later, Raji landed a few placements for major recording artists such as Jacob Latimore and Trey Songz. He then had a taste of the stage life performing as a backup vocalist for Trey Songz in 2012.
Currently, Rajitheone is on the cusp of stardom with a newly released record that has left everyone nodding in awe because of its catchy reference to a voice messaging system entitled, “White Girl Voice”.
The producer, MC, singer and songwriter has a sound that embodies hip hop, soul, and R&B;, all of which are the main ingredients for a new project currently underway.
