Bio

Perry Daniels - Vocals/Guitar/Bodhran;
A singer, songwriter and rhythm guitarist; Perry has fronted various Irish and Celtic bands across Western MA, and upstate NY. Originally a percussionist early on in life, he has been performing music since the age of ten. His rhythmic guitar style, and smooth-bold vocals provide a solid foundation for the band to build upon. He and Rick started playing together in the seisun band “the Dossers.” Together they formed Rakish Paddy with Eileen in November of 2009.

Eileen Markland - Violin/Penny Whistle/Vocals/Piano;
Eileen brings with her a wide range of experiences in fiddle and violin performance and teaching. In 2001 she was appointed by the US Dept. of State as an "American Cultural Specialist" and traveled to Benin, West Africa with Project Troubador. In 2002 she performed at the UN Peace Summit in Switzerland, and in 2004 she organized and led "Operation World Harmony", a cross cultural music and education tour in Niamey, Niger. More recently she’s performed in Paris,Venice, Dublin, and throughout the northeastern US.

Rick Marquis - Vocals/Banjo/Mandolin;
Rick started playing the banjo at age eight. He has performed in many local minstrel troops, variety shows and cabarets. He's been a member of "the Dossers" and various dixieland, bluegrass, and Celtic groups throughout a long career performing various styles of music; All of which are displayed in his unique musicianship, and classic-easy going vocals.

Anders Johansson-Bassist, vocalist, and sound engineer;
Anders brings to Rakish Paddy over 20 years of experience playing Celtic music. Formerly a member of Celi's Muse- and later- Six Mile Bridge, his Celtic music career began in Texas as a sound engineer. In addition to his fine musicianship, he possesses great technical skills, and has worked as an engineer on a variety of recordings including classical and punk. Additionally, he runs his own label, Winter Twin Records. Anders has played a number of prominent events, among them New York City's St. Patrick's Day gala, the North Texas Irish Festival, the Potomac Celtic Festival, the Milwaukee Irish Fest, and the Celtic Classic Highland Games & Festival held annually in Bethlehem, PA.
