Ralegh Long

Ralegh Long

 London, England, GBR

Frequently compared to Robyn Hitchcock, Epic Soundtracks and Ray Davies, Ralegh Long is an English Singer-songwriter of originality and bite. Whether performing solo or with his backing band The Primary 3, Ralegh has developed a reputation as an uncompromising performer and songwriter.

After forming and breaking a number of bands during his teenage years, Ralegh decided to go it alone in 2010 in order to realise an increasingly individual set of ideas. His debut single, Shtick , sold out on release in November 2010, and recieved praise from blogs including Sweeping The Nation, Liquid Hip and Eardrums. It's raw sound and arrestingly simple lyric drew comparison to bands such as Giant Sand, The Go-Betweens and Robyn Hitchcock.

In January 2011 he was selected to play at Saradon's Age of Reason Album launch. He is currently working on a debut double E.P, split between the quiet and the loud elements of his work - it looks set to be a startling record - encompassing influences that range from the melodicism of Epic Soundtracks and Robyn hitchcock to the fury and mayhem of the Minutemen.
