Bio

Ralf Wiggum succeeds to The Melillo Band, the first project of Philippe Melillo. The Melillo Band produced a home demo and did a few shows in 2007 and 2008. Then in 2009, Jo Charette and Simon Gosselin joined Philippe and P-A and it became Ralf Wiggum. The band is part of the local label Poulet Neige, which has been active since 2008.

Driven by Philippe Melillo’s tortured mind, Ralf Wiggum shares some resemblance with bands from the post-rock grunge era such as Sonic Youth and The Pixies. Through pop and catchy melodies, the band also shows its love for dissonance, straightforward rhythms and epic moments.

Yes, Ralf Wiggum is the name of the band. And despite The Simpsons' big influence on the artists’ education and a small resemblance between the singer and the naïve little guy, there is no real connection between the two.

By choosing to let people give what they want when purchasing an album, Ralf Wiggum shows that fans and the broadcast of its music are what matters the most.
