"Ralph Oyaga delivers!"

Its 10 PM Monday night at the Hollywood Cat Club but it feels like Friday night when Ralph Oyaga hits the floor - - there is a palpable energy in this band’s combination of skill and chemistry. This energy gets fans dancing up front center stage, by the bar, and enthusiastically shaking in their lounge seats. It infects fans and newcomers alike, hitting them with the cascading percussive mastery of “Absence of Faith” , the soul-shaking bass of “Don’t Tell Me” , or the genius of contrasting guitars styles and heartfelt vocals of “ Naked Ecstasy” . - - - Together the effect produces extraordinary sound that are best experienced live to enjoy. - Rich Duce

"Review by Deana Segretario"

Oyaga made great use of the stage, or lack thereof, in the crowded Cat Club. His upbeat, likeable personality was enjoyable to watch with the band playing strong behind him. From the tribal tom styling of “Dancing In The Rain,” to the flurry of fills found in “In The Absence of Faith,” drummer KD displayed power and accuracy. Jayce Burns delivered cool riffs song after song, but most memorable were his tasty licks on the intro of “Standing In The Shadows” which was met with crowd approval.

Bio

Ralph Oyaga (born Rafael Humberto Oyaga Tagle) moved from his birthplace, Colombia, to Los Angeles at the age of twelve. His older brother Juan Carlos introduced him at an early age to rock legends like Led Zeppelin, The Who and Black Sabbath. At age 16 he bought an old acoustic guitar at a yard sale for $5 dollars and taught himself how to play it. Before long he was writing songs and playing them for anyone who would listen.

Ralph holds a Juris Doctorate and is a licensed lawyer in California. He also has a Masters in Business Administration and is a business executive working on everything from strategic planning to mergers and acquisitions. He enjoys art in all forms including photography and film. All the while, he continues to write music and reinvents himself with each new album.

Music is indeed this Renaissance man’s deepest passion. His work showcases his masterful imagery and eclectic writing style. His latest album is a collection of love songs in Spanish which draw on Alternative Rock influences such as Foo Fighters and Green Day with Ralph’s signature poetic writing style.

Ralph has released two new CDs. A full length 9-song album is called “Ay, Amor” and a 5-song EP called "Un Momento". Both deal with the various phases of love, from the moment of enamoured elation to the cold and lonely heartbreak. "Ay, Amor" is a more upbeat radio-friendly sound while "Un Momento" has a bit of a darker tone and is set to open new doors for Latin Alternative Rock and is poised to be Ralph Oyaga’s best seller yet.
