Bio

Ralph Parker fits into the category of being a real country music artist generally associated with major artists such as George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, George Jones, Merle Haggard and the late Buck Owens. Ralph is an accomplished musician who started out as a lead singer, rhythm guitarist and saxophonist for bands in 1971 when he turned 18. All along he had a passion for country music and he excelled in it whenever he sang country songs. How did he know this? The reaction and feedback from the audiences told him so. Ralph is also a songwriter. More recently he made a decision to turn his attention entirely to country music simply because it is the kind of music that speaks from the heart and Ralph is that person, he sings from his heart.

Ralph’s achievements are reflected in his two CD’s titled, “I’ll share my world with you” and his “Tribute” to the late and great, “Buck Owens” whose music had a tremendous influence on him from the 60s. These two CD’s potentially scored Ralph a record deal in Nashville Tennessee with. “Universal Sound Records” an independent but and renowned label which eventuated in November 2006. He now has a hot new country album titled, “A High Price” which was released in Feb 2007. The album is characterised by the famous Nashville sound and was recorded / produced by T. Jae Christian of Nashville. Of the eleven originals and one cover song on the album, three have been written and composed by Ralph.

The album was recorded in Nashville by Mark Moseley, the finest recording engineer that Nashville has ever produced and next only in line to Owen Bradley the greatest engineer whom the CMA America paid tribute to at the American Country Music Awards in 2006. The dynamics of the album are testimony to Marks superiority in engineering an album of unsurpassed standards.

Country radio stations in and around the United States of America, Australia and Europe are now featuring tracks from the album on their country programs. The CD also achieved the status of Best CD Of The Month on three country radio stations in the Netherlands. One of the tracks from his album titled, Somebody's gonna get hurt" has climbed the UK Independent Country charts from No.31 to 24 in
recent weeks.

Ralph believes that the key to success is in setting very high standards for himself and works hard to please his fans. He has a large following of fans in Melbourne and Sydney where he has performs on regular basis. Later this year Ralph hopes to represent the Universal Sound Record’s group of country artists in Europe. Ralph is also receiving attention through other sources available to him in the USA and Europe to take himself to the next level of his career. You’ve got to really see him perform “Live” to really appreciate the full potential of this great country singer. If you like Hony Tonkin' Country, you should most definitely listen to Ralph Parker's current album, "A HIGH PRICE" (for low livin')
