Cars, girls, and guitars are all the things that make rock good and all the ingredients that make up Rambler 454. "Blue Collar Magnificence" and "basrroom brilliance" are some of the things the press has to say.

Biography

"Barroom brilliance" is the way one writer described our first CD. Yeah, we think this band is lightning in a bottle. Started recording our first CD the day after our first parctice. And this CD is full of rockers, country tinged stomps and dobro-based blues musings with hooks aplenty and terrific imagery. The band can play for hours on end with a live show that gets an entire bar into the event. This is the kind of band you dream about. We'll play anywhere, anytime, and make the show a memorable one. Our favorite recent quote is "If Fox TV ever had a full length movie of King Of The Hill, Rambler 454 would be the soundtracak band." Influences include Black Crowes, Johnny Cash, Face To Face, Chris Whitley, Lemmy, Hank Williams and more.
Conferences that Rambler 454 has been invited to play: NXNE 2005, CMJ/Rock Hall Festival 2005, M.E.A.N.Y. 2003 & 2004, Mid Point Music Fest (Cincy), MMC8, Indymusic, AidsRockOhio 2003. Nominated for Best Garage/Rockabilly band - Cleveland Free Times, Best Country/Americana Band - Clevealnd Scene magazine

Lyrics

Working Band

Written By: Dan McCoy, Rambler 454

Sitting on my hotel bed
Strumming my guitar
The pace is picking up these days
Yet still we have so far
To go to reach our destination
The next honky tonk bar
To play our songs
Raise some hell and
Pass out in the back of the car

And it's a fine trip
But it's gone quick
I must say
No other way
I'd want to live today

And we're five days from Abeline
Headed East on the Southern Scene
F.L.A. back to New Orleans
Find true love then head home
Moving on this traveling show
It's a Working Band it's the life for me

Drums piled up in the back of the van
Head held up by my right right hand
Staring out the glass
Watching the world grow by
There's a million things I could be doing
But nothing else gets my juices stewing
Than a rock and roll band
Sure beast nine to five

Yeah I'm still working class
I still bust my ass every night
I gotta play my song
Gonna get it wrong
"Do it right"

And we're five days from Abeline
Headed East on the Southern Scene
F.L.A. back to New Orleans
Find true love then head home
Moving on this traveling show
It's a Working Band it's the life for me

When it's all been said and done
I'll say my life I spent with fun
I've had a good life
Traveling across this land
Another kid's gonna come along
Hoping to play his homegrown song
For the people
And the cycle starts again

I'm gonna sign it loud
I'm gonna be proud you can bet
It's gonna be a while
I'm gonna wear a smile every step

And we're five days from Abeline
Headed East on the Southern Scene
F.L.A. back to New Orleans
Find true love then head home
Moving on this traveling show
It's a Working Band it's the life for me
Well it's a working band and it's the life for me

Catalog

Written By: Dan McCoy, Rambler 454

When you find it hard dealing with your situation
Make yourself a deal to hide it all with one stipulation
You'll dig it out in 30 years and let those tears fall
Bury it all back log catalog

When you're laughing in the face of things and feeling good inside
Ask yourself and see could this be nothing but a lie
Living on the false pretense, there's things that you forgot
From years ago that strength you lacked - it all comes back
Bury it all back log catalog

It haunts you
Taunts you
Tears you down inside
That hidden cost that keeps you from your pride

Well now maybe something once was said you took that thought to heart
There's certain times when things feel fine, that thought rips you apart
These things get piled up for miles you see no end in sight
Well life goes on, you counted wrong, you made your plight
Bury it all back log catalog

Bury it all back log catalog
