Bio

Ramisu

The revolution is now.

With lightning quick wit and flawless timing, rap artist Ramisu brings a fresh new style that quickly grasps hold of all who listen. His lyrics not only reflect an extreme sense of poetry and intellect, but his delivery sustains a seemingly effortless and natural flow that compliments the music tenfold. His long anticipated upcoming album "The Inauguration" is expected to be an eclectic mixture of hip-hop, rock, salsa, experimental alternative and reggae music.

RAMISU - A name given the 9th King of the 9th Dynasty of Ancient Kemet today known as Egypt meaning "Gift From God".

At only five years old, Ramisu was already considered of extremely high intellect and was inducted into Mensa (a society of bright people whose IQ is in the top 2% of the population). While growing up he studied the Suzuki method of violin as well as classical piano. These skills helped to lay the foundation for his deep understanding of rhythm, technique and pure skill.

Ramisu also speaks five languages including English, Spanish, Arabic, Japanese and some French. He believes that by being able to relate to someone in their own tongue has helped him to understand more about different cultures and societies which comes through in his music. He also spent three years in the US Army during which he became especially enthralled with words and language. He found a love in the ability to move people with the driving forces that move him as well.

As many young men face, Ramisu was caught up in the trappings of a ghetto environment as a young teenager. He would carry a label that would proceed him allowing people to assume that he was trouble. However, his experiences in this environment have become key ingredients in the crucible of his songwriting. These influences are evident in his songs and style of delivery. His lyrics speak to a global community and the world.
