"Fading Away reviews"

Very dramatic piano arrangement to open the track. a beautiful melody drifts along the track. it was eloquent and uplifting. the string arrangement that follows amplies the beauty and tranquility of the song. very motivating performance that needs to be heard.

Very light and airy sounding, as if you're floating ona cloud. The piano is a great mechanism as far as theinstrument that is the main one in this track. It brings the song tonew heights with the variations of the notes allthroughout the track, the other instruments are played with such deliacte harmonies and the melody is furitfully one of the best structures and the compilation really has some quality streaming feeling to it. The track is an emotional wonder on it's one, the instrumental has no vocals but works it out and does it well. This is a beautiful sounding lovely pleasant track with tons of gracious notes and chords. Lovely music.

This one of the most beautiful instrumentals I have ever heard in my entire life. The way they flowed together was excellent. I know this could be used for a love movie, or some type of tv show to do with loving someone. I thought I heard some faint voices in the background as the music played on. There was no evident major lead singer in the song. The most dominant instrument was a piano. There was some other sound of an instrument that I could not say what it was . It was all great. I would hope to hear some of this song creator's work.

woah love it, it's beautiful. piano's and more you need to be in heaven right know such a beautiful sound it's like if you're dancing in your dreams <3 hmmm if you like piano music listen to this This song was a complete melody based composition which was mainly in piano form until about 1 minute in the song. It was a very peaceful yet sad song which was one of the best piano style songs i have heard in a very long time. I think this song had great harmonic atmosphere with is great slow tempo and impressive harmonic tones behind a great symphony of piano and drums. I cant wait for another song from this artist or band as it was fantastic and i will probably buy it on itunes afterwards. - Soundout

"Hello Music Review"

Based on our listen to your music Ramzi, the following aspects of your releases are outstanding. Keep building on these strengths. We felt the instrumental leads on the tracks were tuneful, interesting and well-articulated. There's no overplaying here, and nothing seems to be lacking either. Spot on. We thought the songs had a logical structure and all the parts were distinct. A good song structure generally has both repetition, and surprise, and we thought you nailed it. In the studio, a good mix separates the men from the boys. It's relatively easy to get good raw tracks, but mixing them right is an art unto itself. Clearly a lot of time and work went into the mix here. It's paying off. It sounds like you sent us well-mastered, high-quality files. We hear the details loud and clear. This is an essential quality for commercial releases. Nice job. Thanks again for giving us the opportunity to listen to your releases and for being part of the Hello Music ecosystem. We look forward to hearing more of your music so we can give you feedback on your newest recordings as well as even more amazing opportunities.
Sincerely,
Hello Music

"Prelude To Life"

Your melody is certainly catchy and strong and I don't hear any bad notes or bad chord progressions. In fact, your progressions between majors and minors are quite good and makes for an interesting listening experience. antonsmusic.
Hsinchu, Taiwan . February 17th, 2008.

This is a very solid, melodic production in a simple, classic structure utilizing contrasting instrumentation between the two sections (A: accordion, B: synth) to achieve an eminently European sound. The accompanying synth figures in the B section keep the tune pulsing. The return to the accordion section is such a dramatic shift in sound.- skylightmusic from Oakland, California on 23Jan2008

While the introduction was very nice, the second section seem to last just a bit too long. The mix and structure is really good, however, for some reason, I keep wanting to hear more of a specific melody complimented with some voices. Nice motion type sounds and arrangement. The beginning seem to suggest a gospel type song (I think I hear a gospel type organ sound). More development of melody would turn this into a really strong piece. I believe there is lot of potential hear. - dbstevenson from Los Angeles, California on 11Jan2008

This is a neat song...different. It could be in a soundtrack to a movie, like "Napolean Dynamite II" or something like that especially re: the organ at times. Nice melody and arrangement. The mood is "chipper". :O) Nice job - dantharp from Green Valley, Illinois on 1Dec2007

nice soft dance sound..liked the harmonica sound, different to other stuff here great sytnh work with a clear melody..nice music- rolb Staffanstorp, Sweden February 19th, 2008.

"The Calling"

The introduction is nice and moody with that cool synth sound that seems to be making a comeback in indie circles. I personally didn't like the choral vocals, They remind me of new age music but I really enjoyed the synthesisers that come in after the drum beat starts. It has some nice chord progressions (nothing here is cliched or forced). At times it sounds like Eno but at other times i just can't get past the Enya-ish choral vocal samples. The brief change at just over four minutes is refreshing and really adds to the song. It seems to be the sort of thing I wouldn't mind being in a soundtrack to a movie or game. The ending is really cool. - FrankOlson from New Zealand on 7Jan2008

it's like a song without words. maybe you should find a singer? you are pretty creative, i just have a feeling you could do more with some vocals. very interesting harmony and arrangement. the outro just make me smile in a good way. very positive song. - the_mosquito from Kiev, Ukraine on 6Jan2008

I really like almost everything about it the only think i am not sure is the choice of the lead sound on some parts especially what i would call the theme. A bit more organic elements would make a great song out of it. Invite some girls with nice voices to record the synth voices. And use some cool analog synth like a moog and it will be one of the greatest songs ever recorded. - dtr from St-Eustache, Quebec, Canada on 14Dec2007

Keep experimenting. Keep writing melodies and working on your phrasing and note selection. You're obviously very creative. I'd work on bringing a little more focus to your music. I hear a lot of ideas, many of them are good and original. You might want to re-visit the intro. It doesn't seem to serve as a good
introduction to the rest of the piece, it seems to be unrelated. With a mind as creative as yours, I'm sure you could make some great stuff! - Scottjames79 from North Hollywood, California on 4Dec2007

"People"

I like the fact that it goes straight into the song. the background music is worth getting up and swaying to. The vocals are awsome because they are clear and easy to hear and I can understand. The lyrics I really did not like, but other than that the song performance is good.

"Radio Station Review"

RadioIndy review: 03/07/2007
http:www.radioindy.com/ramzi
The dynamics of “The Other Side of Misery by Ramzi” make it highly evident that Ramzi has harnessed many wisdoms. He shares his insights with us in epic, yet lucid pieces whose titles guide the reflections contained within the musical arrangements. The keyboard, synthesizer, and piano work within the pieces is very impressive and demonstrates Ramzi’s versatility in styles and sounds. The recording quality is very good, and the production provides many creative accents to the music. "Brain Storm" is a particularly touching song suggestive of the storm of thoughts and perceptions that can run rampant in one's mind, leading and steering their lives. The melodic horn part and answering piano part, are memorable in "In the Shadows." The Other Side of Misery is an irrefutable beacon of light reminding us that life puts us to the test in order to make us strong; a reflective precursor to a life of joy and wonder. If you enjoy contemporary instrumental music, The Other Side of Misery is a "must-have"! - Xavier Persad

He felt beautiful melodies in his heart and heard it in his head, all he wanted is to hear it come out of an instrument, so he had to learn how to play to achieve his dream. In 1982 the war has gotten so bad his parents forced him to leave the country for his safety and a better future. Traveling out of his hometown was not his idea of change, but it was his destiny. Seeking a new life and a future, he found himself in a country that finally became a second home. Fulfilling a life without his family was a big sacrifice, but it had to be done. He put himself through college, and graduated in 1987 with a degree in science. He worked job after job and in his spare time he played the keyboards with many bands around the Boston and Hawaii areas, putting his childhood dream of creating music aside to make ends meet. He got by and lived a very decent life. Still feeling incomplete he realized that this is the point in his life that he misses his childhood dream, which is music. The love of music, and the desire of creating it. For every experience he came across in his day to day life, he wrote an Instrumental piece of his personal musical style, using both pianos and electronic keyboards to create new sounds. Finally, in 2006 he chose to make music his vocation. He put together his first Album. As a musician it is his responsibility to create beauty. His music is Classical, Piano/Newage, Ambient, Contemporary instrumental and it will bring out the best in you, as it did to him. He operates with an ambient imagination, faith, and hard work. Seeking a life in music, and finally going forth in a solitary and distinctive path. You will hear a lot more of his music in the upcoming years.
