I Like How I Feel

I Like How I Feel

By: Randall Lamb © 2006

My eyes are on the road
My hands are on the wheel
When I’m with you, I like the way that I feel.
I like the way that I feel
I like the way that I feel
When I’m with you, I like the way that I feel.

I’ve been over the hill
I’ve been around the bend
There’re places we go
You never come back again
Like dust in the wind
We can all blow away
Out of the blue
You got nothin’ to say
So you love who you love
And you do what you do
I like how I feel when I’m with you.

Every dip in the road
Every hill, every turn
Some people say
There’s a lesson to learn
Everything’s always moving
Even when it is still
There’s some things we know
Some we never will.

I’ve been over the hill
I’ve been around the bend
There’s places we go
You never come back again.
So I’ll ride through the darkness
Hoping for peace
The sun so bright, coming up in the east.

My eyes are on the road
My hands are on the wheel
When I’m with you I like the way that I feel.
I like the way that I feel
I like the way that I feel
When I’m with you I like the way that I feel.

Can The Rich Get To Heaven?

Can The Rich Get To Heaven?

By: Randall Lamb © 2006

God loves the rich, so he gives ‘em money
He gives less to the poor ‘cause he loves ‘em more
Surely goodness and mercy will find me
If I’m begging at the rich man’s door.

The meek shall inherit the earth, that’s how I heard the story
While the powerful lock us up or lock us out
Are we going to Hell, or are we bound for glory
I guess that’s what faith is all about.

CHORUS
Amazing Grace How Sweet the sound
Will the waters of justice come rolling down?
Can a camel fit through a needles eye?
Can the rich get to heaven when they die?

The ragged and homeless, and hopeless upset the senses
Of the privileged and the bourgeoisie
So they just keep building bigger and better fences
I’m thinking Heaven’s just another gated community.

CHORUS

Life is a series of trials and tribulations
with promises of better times ahead
It doesn’t seem to matter which god you believe in,
They all say you’re gonna live forever once your dead.

I'm A Folk Singer

I’m A Folk Singer
By Randall Lamb © 2010

I’m a daydreamer
I’m an underachiever
I’m a humdinger
I’m a dead ringer
For a folk singer,
At least that’s my claim
Nobody knows my songs
Nobody knows my name
But I don’t care
I’m at peace with that
I’ve got my walking shoes
I’ve got my walking hat
And I’m out here on the rusty side of the rainbow
I’ve got chords and words to see me home.

I started out with nothing
And I’ve still got half
I worked it out one time
I even did the math
As I live my life
And thoughts linger
I turn ‘em into songs
‘Cause I’m a folk singer.
At least that’s my claim
Nobody knows my songs
Nobody knows my name
But I don’t care
I’m at peace with that
I’ve got my walking shoes
I’ve got my walking hat
And I’m out here on the rusty side of the rainbow
I’ve got chords and words to see me home.

I’ve got chords and words
I’ve got chords and words
I’ve got chords and words to see me home.
