Bio

Random Dogs is a collaboration of five diverse musicians, based in Tel Aviv, Israel, working together since 2011 and creating modern, straight-forward and energetic rock music, which includes influences from both American and British rock scenes of the past 20 years.

Currently based in Tel Aviv , Israel, the band has released its debut EP 'Out of the Race' on May 2014, including 5 original songs. The EP was coproduced by the band and Yotam Ben Horin (lead singer and bass player for USELESS ID), and was recorded and mixed by one of Israel’s greatest sound technicians – Guy Webb (Hadag Nachash, Mercedes Band, Shabak S, RedBand). The entire album is now available for download via Bandcamp, Reverbnation and iTunes, and FREE stream on Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube and more.

After releasing their debut EP - ‘Out of the Race’ - in May 2014, the band has gained attention in both International and Israeli rock scenes, including a rare invitation to participate at the Driven Music Conference, ATL, GA, being the only non-american act in the showcase.

On their return to Israel, the band has been invited to join the 2nd season of prime time music-reality show “The Rising Star”, in which they brought to the screen the band’s unique vibe and energies, that made a great impact on both the show’s judges and audience, and brought the rock genre back to the headlines.

Later on in 2015, the band has toured around Israel including shows in major venues such as Barby TLV and Ra’anana’s Amphi-theater, getting closer to their fans, which returned their appreciation by raising more than 13,000$ in a crowd-funding campaign in order to fund the upcoming album’s recoding and production, entitled Tell Yourself a New Story.

During the crowd-funding campaign, Random Dogs has received an invitation from British rock producer John Mitchell (YouMeAtSix, The Architects, Funeral for a Friend), to record their next album in Outhouse Studios, UK. The band was brought to Mitchell’s attention by his colleague, famous british musician Steven Wilson.

After a brief stage of pre-production, the band landed in Mitchell’s studio in England for an intensive two weeks recording process in summer 2015. The EP was mixed later on this year by Israeli top sound engineer Guy Webb, who has been working for the past 15 years with Israel’s top acts such as Hadag Nachash and Infected Mushroom, then mastered by Michael Fossenkemper at TurtleTone Studios, NYC.

The new EP, Tell Yourself a New Story, includes 4 original songs and a cover version for Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy”, to be released as a debut single with a unique video-clip.

After a year of hard work and self development, Random Dogs put their energetic spirit into a 5 track EP that reflects the band’s past year’s journey, and also includes a guest performance of Israeli rock singer Diana Golby.

Tell Yourself a New Story is about to be released for stream, broadcast and digital download on March 2016, as well as a limited edition hard copy.
