Bio

Chicago is best known for being hometown to such legends as Al Capone and Hugh Hefner. But it was here that, in the fall of 1995, a group of overindulgent lads converged to publicly voice their hatred for 'popular' music. More importantly was their sincere love for the fast and exciting music that they had grown up with: NAKED RAYGUN, JOAN JETT, THE RAMONES, THE CLASH, BAD RELIGION and SOCIAL DISTORTION.

Random55 are the standard bearers of a newer, leaner, tougher breed of suburban street punk inspired by London and L.A. punks. The band soon forged their own distinctive sound: a souped-up hot rod with a Clash body, Social D frame, and running on hi-octane rock with a noticeable Naked Raygun additive. Early singles and tracks like Dear Near, I Don't Care and Bulletproof, introduced the band to a crowd outside Chicago and kicked the door open for several tours with long-time friends and mentors, Joan Jett and Kenny Laguna.

Whether touring or recording, Random55 go balls out! Five guys, who started out playing early punk cover songs in the back room of a punk rock record shop on the South side of Chicago, have fought, kicked and scratched for every single ounce of respect and success they've ever gotten. They are the truest form of punk rock and like a good Rocky movie, Random55 are heart and soul underdogs.
