Bio

Random Acts of Harmony performs for large and small audiences at festivals, clubs, concert halls and listening rooms who enjoy traditional and contemporary folk tunes sung in three part harmony with acoustic guitar, 5-string banjo, and stand-up bass accompaniment. Our musical influences range from late 50's Weavers and Kingston Trio, through Bluegrass and Old Timey, to Blues, Gospel, even Broadway. Known for our crisp and tight three-part harmonies, the Atlantic News said about a recent concert, “…the vocals had listeners fixed on every soft melodic note.” Along with traditional American and British Isles folk songs, we cover the music of John Prine, Steve Goodman, Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Bill Staines, Tom Paxton and many others. Audiences like our tunes and love our harmonies.

In the past, Rob worked on the road full time playing more than 300 college campuses, and opening for Pete Seeger. Dick workied in a prominent band in upstate New York that opened for the Beach Boys and the Lettermen. Pete plays anything with strings and has been since he was a child. He works in Irish and Bluegrass bands, as well.
