Bio

Random Zero is a melodic alternative rock quartet from Bangor, Maine.
The group consists of Scott Dufour on drums, Spencer Reuillard on bass and backing vocals, Rich Roderick on lead guitar and vocals, and Adam Dresser on rhythm guitar and lead vocals.
Their unique sound consists of haunting melodies vocal harmonies that take advantage of the range of influences and styles within the band.
Adam and Rich have known each other for years and were previously in a band together.
For personal reasons, Adam had to leave that band but they were able to find a replacement and continue playing.
Years later, shortly after their former band called it quits, Adam contacted Rich about starting a new project. He played some new material on an old acoustic for him and together they recorded some rough demos. Richie was able to add his own flair to these songs and the duo hit the local bars and open mic’s to test their sound.
Later, with the help of craigslist they met a pair of musicians, formerly guitar and drums of a local 90’s cover band.
Scott would end up staying on as their new drummer.
At that time, with 3 guitar players, Richie and the 3rd guitarist swapped off on lead guitar and bass.
After a few months he chose to leave and pursue a solo career

Not long after this departure did the band receive an email from someone that had heard them online asking if they were looking for any members. So they gave him a tryout and a month later Spencer was announced as their new bass player. With a full quartet again, the band began anew and continued work on the groundwork laid by those rough acoustic recordings.

Random Zero began work on what will be their debut EP "Haunted" in December 2012 and as of March '13 is being mastered and prepared for release.

They continue to write original material and expand on their sound.

Their many combined influences include (but are not limited to):
Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, Coheed and Cambria, Neil Young, Marilyn Manson, Portishead, Evanescence, Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony, Pink Floyd, Killswitch Engage, Amon Amarth, Pantera, Rob Zombie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Tool, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Rush, Lynrd Skynrd, Black Sabbath. Dio, Type O Negative, and life for better and for worse.
