Free Side of the Hill

Written By: Randy Palmer

Free Side of the Hill

I woke up this morning, I knew I was alone
So, I said to myself, how long must this go on
I decided the and there, There is more than a mortal will
So I began a search for the free side of the hill

Refrain

|: You might find me
You might find me
But you must look to the free side of the hill :|

Genghis Khan was the man supreme, through out all his lands
Alexander held the world, in the palm of his hand
They conquered all but could not capture ,peace of mind
their empires failed all they left was a memory left behind

Why run a race you do not plan to win
Tell me,why stand in the water if don't know how to swim
Why pursue a goal that's no bigger than yourself
Wat's the reason for living, is heaven or is it hell

Coming of Age

Written By: Randy Palmer

Coming of Age

Two middle aged lovers cling to each other
Pray that we're working on our one another
Practice keeping the promises made
Savor the wholeness of coming of age

Sweeter and deeper with each passing day
Takes a lot of hard work out here on the way
Together forever comes a day at a time
Living in love is like gold down a mine

Refrain;

So we stop up our ears, just close our eyes
To all the distractions and all of the lies
Count out the blessings of a home that love made
That's the wholeness of coming of age

We planted and watered, guarded our fields
Walked all the boundaries pulled out the weeds
fruitful and strong are our children our fields
There's a great coming when we gather the yields

Sweet situations bring me a smile
Great expectations are well worth the miles
Secrets we shared through sickness and health
Richer and poorer and all the hands dealt
