Bio
Born and raised in Hollis Queens and currently bouncing back and forth in a straight line between the East Village, Los Angeles and the North Shore of Oahu, Randy Lee is and always will be a New Yorker with a heart of gold. A punk rock troubadour, he has a big heart, thick skin and sharp teeth.
Weaned on Hardcore Matinées at CBGB and a steady dose of AM radio, Randy soaked up all the music he could and became an in-demand bass player around town. He spent many years behind the scenes writing and producing for local indie rock, hip hop and alterna-folk artists. Randy Has garnered two Emmy Awards composing music for TV and commercials and has scored several films contributing to movies by directors Roger Avary, Quentin Tarantino, Karyn Kusama, Oliver Stone, Malcolm D. Lee and Bobby Sheehan.
2013 will bring Randy Lee out from behind the curtain and in to the spotlight releasing a debut solo record and performing on both coasts. With catchy melodies and heart-on-your-sleeve lyrics Billboard Magazine declares Lee "a passionate and relevant song writer that needs to be watched."
