Bio

Since achieving 2nd place in the 2005 North American Rock Guitar Competition, I have only now begun to taste the thrill found in the world of rock guitar. Beginning with my early years practicing on an Epiphone Strat, to my recent fortunes on the big competition stage, I have learned and enjoyed so much life through the guitar.

As soon as I picked up my first 6-string, I was intrigued with the brilliance of players like Randy Rhoads and Eddie Van Halen. In my first high school performance, I played Rhoads' "Suicide Solution" solo before a crowd of 1300 people, as a tribute to my fallen hero.

After high school, I attended Boston College. My musical influences matured, as artists like Yngwie Malmsteen and Joe Satriani opened my eyes to another level of guitar virtuosity. My minor in music also helped to expand my understanding of composition and theory.

Following graduation, I moved to New Jersey, and became a financial analyst. Even with this new career challenge, guitar remained a priority in my life. In 2003, I participated in Guitar Center’s “Guitarmageddon” national competition. I became the East Coast regional winner, and had the fortune of playing at the Las Vegas House of Blues in the National Finals.

In late 2003, I moved back to Massachusetts, where I currently reside with my wife, and work as a financial analyst. I continue to work hard at improving my skills as a guitar player and musician. My passion for the guitar burns just as strong as the day I picked up that first Epiphone, and I look forward to the future challenges and rewards music will bring to my life.
