Bio

Coming from diverse backgrounds we also come with an array of testimonies. It is those testimonies that allow us to glorify God with all humbleness of heart and exuberant praise.

Randy William is an evangelist at heart. He currently pastors Jesus Christ Believers Church in Port Charlotte, FL with his wife Amy. He is the father of 5 children, one stepdaughter and one granddaughter. Living his life as an open vessel for God he has been blessed to pray for people and to watch the miracle working power of God. He picked up his first guitar at the age of 15 and found endless avenues of self-expression. Music became the greatest out pouring for his emotions, thoughts and circumstances. It is Randy's prayer that one word, line or phrase will touch the heart bringing healing and hope to a troubled soul. As a teenager Randy and his family traveled performing as The End Time Gospel Singers. Later on Randy had the great pleasure of sharing the stage with Nashville great John Huey (Steel Guitar Player for Conway Twitty and Vince Gill). He was also in a band called Heaven's Rain with RJ Buras and Hal Higgins ( Steel Guitar Player for Connie Smith). Through the years he has been heard on radio stations such as WOSM 103.1 in Ocean Springs, MS and WTBH 91.5 in Chiefland, FL. Randy has charted on several different internet sites and can currently be heard on unheardradio.com under Gospel music.

Bill Shepherd grew up in Cleveland Ohio. He and his wife Karen have 3 children and 8 grandchildren. Early on he and several others from his church's youth group formed a Southern Gospel band where he played the piano. Since that time he has added the drums, guitar and bass guitar to his repertoire. He has had the privilege of playing with several bands in the Greater Cleveland area, including the Paynes. Bill has also had the opportunity to do studio sessions and home recordings as well. Over the years Bill has honed his skills to play a variety of styles including Rock, Country and Blues, he's also been blessed to compose original pieces. He has served in local churches in Ohio, Florida and Georgia as the Worship and Youth Leader, Choir Director and Sunday school teacher. Bill is currently the facilitator of SWFL Christian Musicians Network, which networks musicians and creates venues for them to play and sing for the glory of God.

Charlie Harmon grew up in a large family of 8 children and one guitar. Charlie says, "You had to make the most of your turn with the guitar, which was about once a month!" His love of the guitar has allowed him to play in church and to pass the joy of the instrument down to his grandson, Cory. Charlie is happily married to his beautiful wife, Wilma.

Doc Carson plays Steel Guitar and he is a walking testimony. He has had 2 heart attacks, a 7 way bi-pass surgery, a stroke and a broken neck! Thank God for preserving his life so he could be a part of "The Works!" Doc has done a little of everything from working on Amateur Radio broadcasts to being a storm chaser to a private detective and fireman. Although playing the pedal steel was a life long desire it wasn't until his heart attacks that he began playing. Since then he has played with the Christian Motorcycle Association, New Hope Music Ministry, Roadhouse Gospel Band, Kountry Klassics, Audubon String Band and Southern Grace.

Cory Harmon and Zach Edwards are 15 years old and the best of friends. They auditioned together with Grandpa Charlie and shortly after the audition they went together for haircuts, which they donated to "Locks of Love". The boys play in their local high school as well as being part of "The Works".

Cory began playing guitar in the church at the age of 8. He can play everything from Bluegrass to Country to Jazz and Gospel. Believe it or not this talented young man plays 7 instruments! He was the Freewill Baptist Youth Association Florida Champion for Flat Top Picking in 2006 & 2007 and in 2007 he brought home the national title as well. Cory has a heart for his community and often plays at concerts for veteran's ceremonies and takes part in the Walk for Life, Heart Association and fundraisers. Cory is also in advanced and honor classes in high school.

Zach Edwards is also a talented young man. He started playing drums at the age of 6 and picked up the saxophone in 6th grade. In school Zach has been the lead saxophonist for the Jazz Band for the past 3 years. He Coming from a musical family Zach seems to be carrying on the family tradition. Zach is in advanced and honors classes in high school. In his desire to be part of "The Works" he has chosen to quit playing baseball if he must pick one over the other. Zach hopes one day to be a musician and/or a pastor.

All hearts agree in this band that their greatest desire is to praise the name of Jesus!
