Range Of Light

Range Of Light

My music is very nostalgic, dreamy, ambient, and minimalistic. It's like watching the sun setting down on the mountains.

This group effort formed after taking some of the various writings from early California Mountain Men and their adventures up in the Sierras very seriously. Taking their advice that Nature is the great stimulator for all things creative, I took it upon myself to see what all the fuss was about. Being there I was haunted with my past that I assumed was forgotten. I eventually found work volunteering as a custodian for a random campground in the National Park. Here I was granted a small living space where I was able to write most of the sounds you hear today. Finding an old piano in the run down music hall there I played when I had free time. In darkness I wrote about my life and other peoples lives. If I wasn't writing music than I was busy getting lost in the writing of Jack London, Ernest Hemingway, and John Muir. In my music you will hear just that; the stories of my youth, of love lost and found, and the letting go of the past. As I play I like to envision the ghosts of old who probably ventured those same places, walking the woods or sailing the pacific only to be bombarded by their own fears, regrets, and worries. In my music you will hear a beautiful dreamy sound played through my new found love for Synthesizer followed by the ethereal sound of percussion. As different as they are both instruments move together perfectly like a light Sierra wind. If you like music in the vein of Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Slowdive, and Bon Iver then you will most likely appreciate what I have to offer here. I would like to agree that this is the band Jack London would of listened to while sailing on the Snark.
