I try to write music that is different. I do not limit myself to a single genre - It is interesting, important and challenging to listen to, appreciate, be able to write and record different styles of music. MySpace.com/ranjand

Biography

My songwriting influences include Dylan, the Beatles, the Rolling Stones and Elton John. I love the stories that country music tells, and how that music has changed, crossing so many different lines and generations. I am challenged by taking a good song and recording it in a way that makes it different and original. I have had my music recorded in country, pop and modern rock styles. I would like to write hip-hop some day, and am working on that!

I was lucky to find Gary Carter, to work with as a producer. We started with two faster tracks, "There for a while" and "Maggie" which were recorded in a modern or crossover country style. Our next project was "Every mother" and I think Gary's acoustic arrangement of that song is exceptional. We then worked on some modern rock and pop.

In the middle of 2009, I was introduced to Adaamick Mendoza in the LA area. He is a great musician who did an amazing arrangement and production on "Every mother". This was the vision I had for this song, and you can listen to it here (2009 version) or watch a video I created for the heck of it.
