Eric “Ransom” Moore is a 22 year old rapper from the “Southside” of Baltimore. He was raised by his grandmother. His parents were both killed in a tragic car accident. His neighborhood was a neighborhood plagued by drugs and gangs. At the age of 13 he joined the local gang. From the age of 13 to 17 he acted in several criminal acts such as car theft and purse snatchings. At the age of 17 he was convicted for the first time during this time he fell in love with the art of rapping.
After he was released he got into the mix tape circuit. He released over 12 mix tapes in one year. Releasing this many mix tapes in such a small amount of time he created a very strong fan base in his neighborhood. Soon that buzz got to a producer by the name of Omar Kennedy. After hearing just one song from Ransom he asked for him to visit him in his studio in Philadelphia. After hearing just one freestyle rap from Ransom he offered him a deal to sign.
Ransom has worked with producers such as “Dr.Dre” and “Kanye West” who is quoted to have said that “he has one of the best flows that I have heard in a long time”. Ransom’s choppy rap style chucked full of punch lines has been compared to rappers such as “Biggie Smalls” and “Big L” wit sort of a southern twang to it ,because of his Baltimore accent. With a still growing fan base he is well on his way to a successful career.
