Bio

Ransom James (Daniel Daigneault, Joe Butler, Dusty Robison, Tim Kelly, Chris Cramberg) are an original/cover band currently based in Tulsa, OK. Nominated for two Absolute Best of Tulsa awards which include "Best Rock/Pop" and "Best Newcomer" of the year, Ransom James has roots in almost every corner of the Tulsa music scene. Having found their pocket in a ferocious blend of Blues, Country, and Classic Rock and combined with their captivating stage presence, it creates a "full frontal face-melt" (Metal Dave, Oklahoma music guru) that you won't soon forget.

Members -

Daniel Daigneault/D.D. James - Vocals
A fifteen year drummer turned rock 'n roll frontman, D.D. has a presence all his own. Hailing from such groups as Arlis Moon & The Stars, VanRissingham, Dante & The Hawks, and Dirty Bathwater, life on the road has given him a charisma and approach that will keep crowds begging for more.

Joe Butler/'Sloppy' JoeJoe James - Lead/Rhythm/5-String Guitar
Joe comes from a Texas-bred Country/Rock background, wielding a five-string Gibson with a Jazz based, Open G-tuned fury yet to be rivaled. The 'Powerhouse' of RJ, 'Sundance' won't stop till his fingers fall off.

Tim Kelly/'Sweet' Timbo James - Lead/Rythym Guitar
Having played everything from Latin to Punk, Timbo is a theory-driven guitar picker whose sound is never the same twice. Brought up on the blues, he brings a dynamic twist to the dynamite sound of Ransom James.

Dusty Robison/Dusty 'The Doctor' James - Bass Guitar
Bass player? Yes. Backbone of RJ? You bet. Ten feet tall and bulletproof? Better believe it. A mild mannered sound engineer by day, every night Dusty straps on his bass in the name of Ransom James. Formerly of Standing Ape Count, Optimistic To A Fault, Zero Crossing, and A.D.D., he is a seasoned professional with more chops than an Elvis convention.

Chris Cramberg/'The Captain' - Drums
Going from Metal to Hip-Hop to Rock 'n Roll might seem odd to some, but that's why those people aren't The Captain. After 30+ states with such groups as Objecting The Fault (OTF) and P.D.A., Cap's expertise is laying a "sound" foundation that's as solid as Sly Stone's fist.
